S9 After the Fall

S9 After the Fall

The Consequences of the Fall of Man

1) Sin (the Life of Satan) entered Man and Creation, entered everything, causing decay and imperfection, corruption and death.

Before the Fall of Man, Man and Creation expressed the nature of God. Existence was in a state of peace, abundance, and harmony.  There was no concept of survival of the fittest. Adam and Eve and all the living creatures created did not kill one another to survive and to eat.  But after the Fall, Man and Creation began to express the Life of Satan.

2) Man gave up dominion of Creation over to Satan. Satan, in effect owns and rules this world.

Luke 4:5-7  And he led Him up and showed Him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in a moment of time. And the devil said to Him, To You I will give all this authority and their glory, because to me it has been delivered, and to whomever I want I give it. If You therefore worship before me, it shall all be Yours.

3) Man was banished from the garden of Eden where the Tree of Life stood, to stop him from becoming an eternal being that knows evil. He would have become an eternal monster like Satan, except that Man would have been worse, because God’s purpose for him was to be a God-man, a being higher than an angel. He would have been a God-monster!

Genesis 3:22 And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat and live forever–

v 17 so He drove the man out and at the east of the garden of Eden He placed the cherubim and a flaming sword which turned in every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.

4)  Our physical bodies will die. Remember we were made from the dust of the ground. If Adam and Eve ate of the tree of life, we would have eternal life, and our physical bodies will never die. But instead…

Genesis 3:19  …Until you return to the ground, because from it you were taken; For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

5) Our soul and spirit are also cursed, destined for Satan’s fate.

Matt 25:42   … you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Satan and all his followers and all that he owns and rules over are destined to be burned in eternal fire, a place specially made for him. That is his fate.  Now, because Man and Gods creation has joined his rule, we are also destined for the same fate.

Unless we accept God’s Salvation.
